The Comedes Lavaero 1000 combines the purification of room air with its humidification. This means that the room air can be optimised with just one device. However, the core function of the combination device remains air purification. The air purifier is equipped with a multi-stage and highly effective filter system. This consists of a pre-filter, a cold catalytic filter, a HEPA element, an activated carbon filter, a UV light and an ioniser. Thanks to the high air flow rate of up to 488m³/h, the device is also very well suited for use in large rooms. For an optimal adjustment of the device to the respective application scenario, the device is equipped with various functions, setting options and the multi-stage filter system. The most important functions include an air quality indicator (PM2.5) with automatic operation, a filter change indicator, a night function, a child safety lock as well as 8 fan speeds and of course the humidification function.
The filter system of the Lavaero 1000
The Lavaero 1000 from Comedes is capable of reducing the concentration of various indoor air pollutants in rooms up to a size of 65m2.
The spectrum of substances that can be filtered by this air purification device includes dust, bird dust, fine dust (PM2.5, PM10), house dust, pollen, mould spores, cigarette smoke, various residential toxins, allergens and allergenic particles in the room air.
This is made possible by the combination of various filter elements in combination with supplementary air purification components.
Depending on their size, the pre-filter, the HEPA element and the activated carbon filter are responsible for filtering solid components (particles). Odours and various compounds are combated by the granulated activated carbon and the cold catalytic filter. The air purification is rounded off by the ionizer and the UV light. The ionizer supports the clustering of the smallest particles (cluster formation) and ensures that these can be absorbed more easily by the HEPA filter.
Use of the air purifier for allergies and cigarette smoke
Special areas of application for the air purifier are in the filtering of allergens or particles containing allergens, as well as in combating cigarette smoke. Pollen, mould spores, house dust or even parts of animal hair belong to the most common allergens or allergen carriers in the room air. The Lavaero 1000 air purifier is able to effectively reduce the number of these allergens.
The filtering of cigarette smoke is also possible with the Comedes device. In this case, solid substances of the cigarette smoke can be reduced in the room air by means of the HEPA filter and the activated carbon filter. To reduce the gaseous components of the smoke, the activated carbon filter and the cold catalytic filter are used.
